Pakistan Business Council hosts Independence Day speed networking in Dubai
Event connects Pakistani entrepreneurs and professionals across UAE industries
DUBAI: A vibrant gathering marked the Pakistan Business Council’s (PBC) 2nd Edition Speed Networking Event in Dubai, held at the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) in celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The occasion brought together a cross-section of Pakistani entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders from across the UAE, providing a platform to connect, collaborate, and foster business opportunities.
Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, attended as Chief Guest. Commending the PBC’s management and board, he praised the event’s well-structured format and the focused, energetic exchanges among participants.
He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in building professional linkages and generating economic prospects.
What was discussed
The Consul General encouraged collective efforts to boost Pakistan’s exports to the UAE, underscoring cooperation and knowledge sharing among the business community.
PBC Chairman Shabbir Merchant stressed the significance of networking events in expanding business contacts, exchanging ideas, and fostering innovation.
The celebration concluded with a special cake-cutting ceremony in honour of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Pakistan Independence Day in Dubai
UAE will also mark the 78th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day with the Jashn-e-Azaadi Pakistan 2025 festival at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, on Sunday, 10 August. Organised by Emirates Loves Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Association Dubai, and supported by Dubai Police, the free-to-attend event runs from 11:00am to 11:00pm across South Halls 1, 2 and 3, with over 60,000 visitors expected.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, will attend alongside diplomats and community leaders. Highlights include cultural and family activities, the Pakistan Awards Ceremony honouring prominent community members, and performances by Sahir Ali Bagga, Natasha Baig, and poet-storyteller Yousuf Bashir Qureshi. Appearances are expected from actor Humayun Saeed and cricketer Sana Mir.
